i think that we need to be in time before we added anything else. The words are good but you can here mumbling in the background. some people werent concertrating there best so they didn’t work as well as they could.
Catherine said:
i need to help other people keep in time too.
mrsgowersclasses said:
How could you do this do you think?
mrsgowersclasses said:
Check your apostrophe- weren’t
Emily-gene Greaves said:
Honestly I did not like it. he singing was ok but other than that it was rubbish. (I know that the truth hurts).
mrsgowersclasses said:
You are right so what should we do about it so that next week it sounds better?
Emily-gene Greaves said:
The singing…
mrsgowersclasses said:
Thanks for correcting this!
nickh said:
the guitars need to be in time
Kirsten said:
I think that the classroom group need to be more in time and rhythm because they wee all doing different beats and timing so they need to sort that out 🎵 🎶 🎼 🎹
mrsgowersclasses said:
How could they do this?
Kirsten said:
*were
mrsgowersclasses said:
Thanks for correcting this!
nick lawrence :) said:
We need to keep in time together or it sounds out of place with all of the guitars making different sounds to the others around them.
mrsgowersclasses said:
I agree. How about playing along to a CD with the backing track next lesson?
nick lawrence :) said:
yeah sure
Hannah said:
I think that we need to keep the swing rythem and we meed to keep a steady beat while concentrating more.
mrsgowersclasses said:
Check your spelling of rhythm! I agree, keeping a steady beat is crucial and we haven’ cracked that yet.
anna said:
the vocal parts did not go with the tune at all, we need to put more tune into it instead of singing so on noted
the rest was alright xxxxxx
mrsgowersclasses said:
Not sure what you mean by ‘on noted’. Don’t forget to check your capital letter to start. I agree, if everyone sings sensibly it will sound better as it’s actually very good! Now you need a verse 2.
conor said:
The guitars didn’t really sound good at all, they were out of tune. It sounded like a broken bagpipe. (I’ve got to be truthful) 🙂
Alex said:
the guitars could have been more in time. we can do this by practicing the chords a bit more.
max said:
could all play in time on guitars
-max
Sam said:
On drums and guitars we need to all play in time and learn f note properly
Ella said:
on the whole the timing was very bad and together it was a bit all over the place. I think we need to practice more together to play each note correctly and make the timing better.
Jenna Sayers said:
We need to all be in time and the singers need to harmonise a bit more and work as a team and don’t scream
tori white said:
i think that us vocals need to practce the tune of our song and how to combine our song to our tune with the lyrics. and we need to try and play all together
joe said:
I think we need to work on the singing and, the instruments because everyone is messing about all the time.
mrsgowersclasses said:
I don’t think they are, however we could improve concentration when rehearsing.
Abbie ferguson said:
I think that the singers could have had more practice and the end of the singing was really bad. Also the guitars were quiet bad and all together I think that we need to be on time so in the next lesson we need to practice in our groups then practice altogether and comment on our self.
lauren said:
all together the class needs practice firstly the pianos and drums sounded very clashed together and sounded very rushed ,the guitars were better then the pianos and drums but still need pratice and need to be all in time becuase it felt very out of time.Lastly the singers since i am in this group i know we need practise and the time has to be correct but although we found these lyrics in 5 minutes due to being confused on what to pick but even though very good from the singers
Harrison Smith A.K.A Hazza said:
The keyboarders, the pianists and the drummers were all playing at different times and pace. The Guitarists, were confidently playing chord “C” But struggled with chord “F”. The vocalists were very confident. However, the quality wasn’t very good but the actual timing and pace was great.
mrsgowersclasses said:
Hi everyone, these are great replies well done and it’s great to see so many of you doing your prep. So we have identified a few things we need to improve.
1) Timing. This will only happen if we listen to each other, listen to the backing track and listen to instructions
2) Concentrate. If we all try our best then the music will improve. This includes singers being sensible and guitarists being careful not to waste practice time.
3) We all want to make it sound good so we need to work together to improve our music.
MICHAEL WICKS said:
evry thing needs to be better.
mrsgowersclasses said:
Check your spelling and capital letter to start. Identify exactly what could be better and how.
anesu mchemwa said:
vocals need to better they were all over he place
mrsgowersclasses said:
Read back over what you wrote. You need a capital letter to start. Say how they could be improved.
Sam said:
All better but people were shouting lol eg CONNER but all the time was good though
mrsgowersclasses said:
We need to be better at listening I think, that includes listening to the beat and to each other. But we are improving. Well done on your progress, just add in the G chord now!
Kirsten said:
I think everyone was much better that time and I especially liked Ella’s opera singing at the end of the vocals 😂
Catherine said:
i agree with Kirsten, everything was a lot better today! The vocals need yo make sure everyone knows the words for the second verse as some people were murmuring. the group in the classroom were also better however it was quite hard to pick out the main rhythm so i think it should be done louder on the main drum.
mrsgowersclasses said:
Great feedback, I will add this to the list. I’m pleased you are correcting your typing errors too well done!
mrsgowersclasses said:
That’s really nice that you picked Ella’s part out to praise, well done. I’m pleased with the singing, what do you think is left to do?
Catherine said:
*I

conor said:
Its was better
conor said:
Also Sam can’t spell my name and Alex kept saying LA LA LA
mrsgowersclasses said:
Conor, that’s not important although I agree the recording would have been better had there been no background noise. I want to know how you think it was better this week.
hazza360 said:
No Conor that was you!
Hannah said:
I think that a though this weeks was much better than last weeks we still need to keep in rhythm and stay in time. I think that we struggle to keep in time because the drum is not loud enough.
mrsgowersclasses said:
How can we do this?
tori said:
i think that this weeks has improved but i think with the voclas we need to sort out our lyrics so everyone in our group knows it and try to keep in rythum as well
mrsgowersclasses said:
Capital I to start your sentence please! Your lyrics are great bt you all need to learn them!
Lewis snow said:
Mostly everything was alright but if we can’t get timming correct we can’t do it
mrsgowersclasses said:
So how should we get in time? What do you suggest?
mrsgowersclasses said:
Watch your spelling of timing.
anna said:
wow 😀 that was worse than the first time, we were so out of tune. that did not go with the song at all! lovely ending ella 😀 xxxxx
mrsgowersclasses said:
I don’t agree! I thought it was much better. Ok what do you think you need to do next then?

Jenna Sayers said:
It is better then last week because that we fouced more on the notes
mrsgowersclasses said:
Which aspect of the notes? Getting them right? Getting them in tune? Getting them in time?
zack said:
i think that we need to be in time before we added anything else.and we need to be more in time if we can get anywhere
mrsgowersclasses said:
Good evening Zack, great to see you doing prep in here well done! Check your capital I at the start and full stop at the end. Very good point about the timing.

Abbie ferguson said:
i think that it was out of tune and that we haven’t made any improvements and the singers need to practice same time the guitars could of more effort into it and the classroom need to spent more time getting the notes correct and on time
mrsgowersclasses said:
I think there are improvements but still some work to do. The guitars are much better and singers are taking it more seriously.

Alex said:
The guitars sound more in time however, it still sounds a bit messy. The class performance sounded good but I could not see any difference in the vocals.
mrsgowersclasses said:
What suggestions do you have for improving the vocals?

hazza360 said:
I think the guitarists are the weak point because of the lack of concentration. The vocalists chose a song that does not fit in with the ‘blues tune.’ The drummers, basses and keyboarders need to stay in time with each other because the main drummer kept speeding up and slowing down. Overall though, the vocalists, basses and keyboarders were the best part because they all were concentrating unlike the drummers and guitarists.
Alex said:
it is better but still sounds messy but it was good because conor was not going la la la
